About theDukanPOS

“Dukan” is the word every Pakistani knows for a shop, and the dukan is where a large part of the country’s trade really happens. Yet many shops still run on handwritten registers, a khata notebook for udhaar and mental arithmetic at the end of the day. Stock goes missing without anyone noticing, credit is forgotten, and the owner rarely knows the true profit of the month.

Software exists, but too often it is expensive, difficult to install, only in English, or built for large supermarkets rather than a family business with two counters. theDukanPOS was created to close that gap: a focused cloud POS that does the daily jobs well and costs from PKR 2,500 a month.

What we believe

• Simple beats complicated. If a new cashier cannot make a bill in a few minutes, the software has failed.
• Language matters. An Urdu interface is not an extra; for many teams it is the difference between using software and abandoning it.
• Pricing should be visible. You should know what you will pay before you sign up, and you should be able to try first.
• One size does not fit all. A wholesaler, an installment seller and a salon work very differently, so we built add-ons for each.

What theDukanPOS does today

theDukanPOS covers POS billing, inventory, customer credit (khata), reports, barcode printing, multi-branch management and a mobile app. Add-ons for retail, wholesale, installments, booking and services are available now, and a manufacturing add-on is coming soon.
